What to do in NJ: Shop for Great Workout Gear!

I love working out! Even more than working out, I love shopping for work out gear. Typical girly girl right here, cue the Clueless montage. I am always looking for the newest place to shop for great work out gear. SIX:02 is that place! They have a great online shop, and I stopped into their Willowbrook Mall location for a tour. The store was bright, colorful and had more shoes, pants, tops and accessory options than you could imagine. No matter what your workout of choice is, SIX:02 has you covered!

SIX:02 is running a promotion now until the end of the month that I love! It’s called #dontsweatyourpants, and allows you to donate your gently used pants to Goodwill via a donation box at one of their stores. In turn, you take $10 off a new pair of Under Armour workout pants! How cool is that?!

SIX:02 wants you to feel your best, and find a new pair of pants from Under Armour that look, fit and perform great! Well, I couldn’t wait to head into the store and try on some Under Armour pants. The staff at the Willowbrook Mall location was courteous, professional, super helpful, and really sweet! They helped me to pick out a few pairs to try on, letting me know the benefits of each, and checked on me plenty of times to make sure I was doing ok! Here are the pants that I tried on:

Pair One– Long Fitted Legging in a bright purple pattern. The store only had these pants in a medium, which was one size up for me. They were really comfortable, but just a bit too large. My favorite feature, besides the bright pattern, was the ankle zip. How many times have you struggled getting a pair of leggings over your foot?! Genius detail.

Pair Two– Long Compression Legging in a muted purple and gray. These leggings were much tighter, given that they were compression leggings. I would wear a pair like this for snowboarding or running in the winter cold, under another layer. The color will go with a variety of tops, and I really liked the contrast detail. Bonus on these leggings: a zippered pocket in the back waistband, perfect for your keys!

Pair Three– Fitted Capri Leggings in gray marl weave. This is the pair I ultimately went with and I’ll tell you why: “winner waistband,” “incredible equator,” “perfect rise,” and “strut gusset.” These are all things that make up the Under Armour “Pillars of Perfection.” These are the best fitting pair of workout pants that I own, and have given my beloved Lululemon’s a run for their money! The waistband is super comfy and doesn’t give you muffin top, and the “incredible equator” feature means that your rear end will be flattered and look great every time you wear these! Oh, they also come in coral!!

Now that I’m all geared up, I’m ready to follow the SIX:02 motto: “It’s not about having time, it’s about making it!”

I was there to find a new pair of leggings, but I really fell in love with the SIX:02 store. Here is my photo diary of my visit, I just love all the colors and inspiring decor!

The fine ladies of SIX:02 sent me home with some other goodies, including a gym bag, towel, water bottle, headband and work out top that coordinates perfectly with my new pants! Here’s a shot of Roxy checking out my new pants and gear- she’s clearly very jealous 🙂

I loved this whole experience so much, I am thinking of making the SIX:02 motto my own motto for 2015. What do you think?
